Hello! My name is Sara and I’m a Lisbon based project manager and designer with a special interest in the creative industries and cultural events.

I find joy in working with people for people by coming up with a strategy that best answers the briefing in hands.

Originally from Figueira da Foz, a small coastal city in Portugal, I moved to Lisbon in 2014 to study Communication Design at the Fine Arts Faculty of University of Lisbon. About a year into my freelancer career and after doing a bit of travelling and adventuring, I realised what I enjoyed best wasn’t necessarily the design, but the process behind it – managing the projects, handling the clients and their briefings and dealing with schedules and budgets.

Taking this into consideration, I redirected my time and efforts towards educating myself in the areas of project management. I did a course in Planning and Production in Cultural Events which confirmed my choice in following this path. Looking for a more serious and complete education that provided theoretical and practical knowledge in project management, in 2019, I enrolled in a post-graduate course in Creative Industries’ Management at the Portuguese Catholic University.

Currently, I mostly work in collaboration with my freelance colleague Abel, a graphic designer also based in Lisbon. We do work mainly for the cultural and education sectors, developing brand identities and exploring editorial design with a conceptual approach.
